Created for the Brazilian project in Revit
Six points that explain how P-LAB works: what happens to your data, the language and standard it uses for calculations, what’s free, and how AI works within its model.
Privacy and the LGPD
The Revit model, project files, and the names of projects, elements, views, and sheets are not sent to P-LAB. The guided workflows only send usage metrics: the time taken for each step, the number of clicks, and AI calls.
The tools that the Assistant creates are saved on your computer. The copy sent to P-LAB—the request, the code, and the field names—can be disabled in the settings; it is deleted after 12 months (except when it becomes a published feature) and is based on legitimate interest (LGPD, Art. 7, IX). To request information or deletion: devpicanco@gmail.com.
Portuguese and ABNT Standards
You type in Portuguese, and the Assistant responds in Portuguese. The calculations follow Brazilian standards: sewer systems according to NBR 8160, stormwater systems according to NBR 10844, and circuit voltage drop according to the limit specified in NBR 5410 (4% for terminal circuits). In sewage and stormwater calculations, the result cites the table or section of the standard used.
Free Tools
The add-in P-LAB for Revit, with the productivity buttons, is free and doesn't require the Assistant. Anyone who wants the AI can subscribe to PLAB Assistant on top of that; anyone who doesn't want it can stick with the Tools.
Revit 2021–2027
P-LAB is compatible with Revit versions 2021 through 2027, so the firm doesn't have to switch tools when it updates the software.
Price to be determined
The prices, payment options, and what each plan includes are listed on the public page at plans, so you'll know how much it costs before you talk to anyone.
AI that chooses proven steps
The Assistant's guided workflows and recipes are what the market calls AI agents: you provide the goal, and it plans and executes the steps. In P-LAB, the AI selects pre-tested steps and displays the plan before implementing it, without writing new code for each request. It’s more predictable, more cost-effective, and doesn’t run unknown code on your model.
